1-Persepolis- I think that when marjanes life was going through a rough period her parents was the one who helped her in life and with her problems. Even though they were not with her through out the whole story but I remember a few times she would think of her parents when she had a problem and what they would say. I would consider them to bee her heroes because they raised her right and taught her right. Plus close to the end her parents help her straighten her life out. Her parents sent her money, they got her a place, they gave her emotional and physical support, they taught her how to survive in the world. When marj had a problem she would think about what her parents taught her and all the things they have done for her and it actually helps her out.

2-Hotel Rwanda-In this story I consider paul to be the hero in this story because of all the things he did for his people. At the beginning of the story paul seemed like he only cared about his family and at the end he started to care about all his people. He spent a lot of money trying to save his people and get them to safety. Even when his family got on to the truck to get to safety, he did not leave with them because he could not let his people die. He was a hutu but he was helping the tutsi. He did a lot for them. At the end he succeeded because he, his family, and his people all get to safety.

3-Swing kids- In this movie I thought that peter was the hero in this story because he influenced a lot of people in the end. At the end while he was getting hauled away to his death he was not scared but he was happy. All the people saw it and decided that they would fight for what they believed in and would not let the Nazis get in the way. He gave up his friend to continue being a swing kid. He got beat up for it and he got harassed for it but he didn’t care because he wanted to be a swing kid and that motivated a lot of people to rebel against the Nazis and swing.

My thoughts about this novel were good because I liked the book.
It was very interesting and I kept wanting to read more.
I liked the way the book talked about a teenager growing up.
I did not really like it when they started talking about the war or when they would talk about politics because it sounded so boring.
I would definitely recommend this book to another person.
I think the meaning of this book was to let us know what is really going on in the world.
I like it how it kind of relates to my life like the use of drugs and depression and family problems.
I like it how she comes up even though she is living rough and hard.
I like the way it showed us how it was in iran.

Today has been a good day. The only problem that I had was I got a three in bens class because I was passing notes to Danielle. I have been working really hard on keeping my grades up and it is actually working. I got like a little over two weeks before my court date and I got to have everything looking good for the judge. I am hoping to finally be able to go home so I can be with my family. I want to show the judge that I can be successful and actually do good in my community . I want to get back with m family so I can be there for my little girl . I don’t want to miss anymore time of her life. I also want to be there for my family and so I don’t have to wait till Sunday to talk to my mom. If I was home right now than everything would be going really good right now. I can only hope right now that it goes good in court. I hope she is in a good mood.

I think that challenges are some what good because it helps us experience life and it gets us prepared for even bigger challenges. Like right now my challenge right now is to get out of the system. I have been in the system for like almost three years until the judge finally sent me here. To get out of here I need to do good in school and I need to follow all of the rules in my program and I need to pass all of my drug tests. This whole experience is teaching me to take life more seriously and to realize that all of my actions affect not only me but a lot of people. You can be strong and overcome the challenges that life throws at you or you can be weak and let it overcome you. The weak ones who let the challenges overcome them are the ones who are poor or are the ones that are getting addicted to drugs. The strong ones are the ones who finish school and who lead a good life. The strong ones are able two walk away from peer pressure or are the ones who do there work in class. The weak ones are the ones who are always talking in class and who don’t really care for there school work.
